Bell Sleeve Top [Steal]

While browsing the internet for a plaid dress/top to wear to my annual friends' "posada", I came across this super cute top! I love the sleeves details and the fabric texture. The best part is the price, only $28.00. I paired it with skinny jeans, my high knee boots, my new Kendra Scott necklace (early Christmas gift from my future mother in law) and an old winter hat, I bought at Forever21. This top can be worn with a white jeans during the spring or a black leather skirt and high heels for a night out!

At last, low temperatures have arrived! So, I decided to take out my plaid coat and wear it! I bought this cozy coat at Marshall's, last year, for less than $30 and only wore it once. It's super warm and you can wear it during the day casual or dress it up for the evening. If you are looking for a stylish coat without breaking the bank, I found similar plaid coats that are under $100! See links below.

Tuxedo Vest [Steal]

Not to long ago, I found this tuxedo dress at one of the discounts stores I love shopping at. I tried it on as a dress, but then I noticed that it could double as a vest, so basically it’s a two-in-one item. Having reworking items in your closet is always a great idea. It gives you more options and less clothing. I paired it with a vintage scarf and some leopard flats to add some color. It’s a great item to have during fall season. Plus, it was under $20.00!

Chicken Fried Rice Recipe [Eat]

Chinese food is one of my favorite! Today I will give you the recipe for an easy Chicken Fried Rice.

Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 cup of chopped stir fry vegetables (or any you like)
  • 1/2 chopped onion
  • 1 cup of cooked white rice
  • 2 spoons of sesame oil
  • 1 spoon of olive oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 spoons of soy sauce
  • 1 chicken breast

In a bowl, beat egg. In a large skillet ad some olive oil over medium low heat. Add egg and leave flat for 1 minute. Remove from skillet and cut into shreds.
In the same skillet grill the chopped chicken until brown. Remove cooked chicken and add garlic, sesame oil and the chopped onion and veggies. Grill for about 1 or 2 minutes. Add the cup of cooked rice, the soy sauce, chicken and egg. Mix and serve.

Here is a quick recipe video.

Brunch with a View [Eat]

Last Sunday some friends and I decided to get together and catch up over brunch. I suggested Rebelle at The St. Anthony’s Hotel. I’ve been there before for dinner, but had no idea they were also serving brunch on Sundays! The place is super chic.  We asked to be seated outside to enjoy our brunch al fresco.

We started by ordering a hibiscus mimosa and some BUTTERMILK BISCUITS [whipped honey butter and green tomato jam]. They were exquisite. I ordered the THE BENEDICTINE [poached eggs over English muffin with sweet and sour tomatoes, prosciutto, fenneldaise sauce and potatoes] they were also very good. My vegetarian friend ordered the IL SCAFATA EN FERNO [farm eggs baked into spicy tomato sauce with spring vegetables, aged buffalo mozzarella and polenta] also very tasty.

If you like Feast, you will love Rebelle. These restaurants are owned by the same chef, and you can never go wrong. Plus, it has the perfect balcony patio for a Sunday brunch during fall weather.

To see brunch menu visit; Rebelle Brunch Menu.

Rebelle is located inside the St. Anthony Hotel 300 East Travis Street, San Antonio, TX, 78205.

Last Minute Halloween Costume [Steal]

I can't believe it is almost Halloween! Time flies and still I have no costume, until today! I came up with an easy and fast costume, a Lion or Lioness in this case.  All you need is a tan top, frizzy hair like mine, hair spray and bobby pins for the hair. For the makeup; a black lip crayon, a contour pencil and a white eye pencil. See below video tutorial. I hope you enjoy it and Happy Halloween!

Also, It's my first video ever! I hope you enjoy it!

Top 5 Things to do in Chicago [Travel]

Chicago is the third biggest city in the U.S.A., and it has a lot to offer, such as history, architecture, culture, restaurants, museums, national sport teams and many more things. I recently visited one of my best friends that resides in this beautiful city. This is the second time I visit Chicago, and it's always breath taking!

Here are the Top 5 things I enjoyed the most on this trip. If you are visiting Chicago for the first time these 5 things are a MUST!

1. Sky-deck at The Willis Tower, formerly known as Sears Tower
If you want to admire the beautiful city from the 103rd floor on one of tallest buildings in the world, go to the Sky-deck at the Willis Tower. You will have to wait in line for several hours, but it is worth it. They also show a video where they explain how Chicago was built after the 1871 fire, as well as how the “Sears Tower” was built.  You will pay about $20. Don’t miss the opportunity to take a picture at the ledge. For more information go to theskydeck.com

2. Deep Dish Pizza at Pizzeria UNO
After walking all day and waiting in lines you definitely deserve a deep dish pizza. Chicago is the birthplace of this peculiar dish and it is well known that the deep dish pizza was invented at Pizzeria UNO in 1943. Although there is not enough evidence to proof who invented it, by the taste and by my judgement I would think it was invented by angels in heaven, since it is so delicious. I recommend you to order the "Numero Uno". Go to the original restaurant, that is located at 29 East Ohio. For more information, visit www.unos.com

3. Visit Wrigleyville
You don’t have to be a baseball fan to have fun in this neighborhood. Pay a visit to this area, it's full of restaurants, bars, stores and of course Cubs fans. Whenever they are playing the city dresses in blue and red, the team's (The Cubs) colors. I had a blast cheering for the team and even got a souvenir. The Wrigley field dates back to 1990’s and it’s a beautiful stadium. If you have the chance, go to one of the games and if you are a big baseball fan take a stadium tour. Visit chicago.cubs for more information.

4- Millennium Park
You can’t leave without going to Millennium Park. Its main attraction is the “Cloud Gate” better known as “The Bean”, because of its shape. This work of art was made by Anish Kapoor and it reflects the city’s skyline. Make sure to take a picture reflecting the city. The Jay Pritzker Pavilion is also located here, which is a beautiful piece of architecture. According to the city of Chicago “The Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park is one of the world’s most state-of-the-art outdoor music pavilions featuring a proscenium surrounded by billowing curves of stainless steel and a steel trellis that spans the audience.” Millennium Park offers many attractions and different events in every season. For more information, visit www.cityofchicago.org

5- Navy Pier
This is one of the most iconic land marks of the city. It was built in 1915 and has more than 50 acres of parks, gardens, restaurants, different attractions, exhibitions and more. If you are there ride the new Ferris wheel and go to Garrets to get some of their famous popcorn. Also, this is a great place to take pictures of Chicago's skyline.

BONUS:
One more thing I loved about this city, was the River walk, it's just breath taking. I took a few shots during night. I also visited a rooftop bar called "London House" it has good drinks and an awesome view. It's also a must!
