“Día de Muertos” (Day of the Dead) is a Mexican holiday particularly celebrated on November 2nd. The holiday centers on gatherings of family and friends to pray and remember loved ones who have passed away. Aside from remembering our loved ones, the tradition also includes building an altar for them, mainly with their favorite food, drinks, belongings, and their pictures. It is believed that their souls will come visit the altar and eat the food and drinks.
