Flair Mexican Street Food [Eat]

Today I had lunch at Flair, a Mexican Street Food restaurant. They define themselves as fresh, local, farm to table-scratch kitchen. The place has a nice and modern atmosphere. They have a small menu for lunch, which I loved because they basically only offer tacos!
For starters I order the chips and queso. It was super good! It was topped with green chili pork. As you may see in the picture we finished it quickly.

They have a lunch special for $9.00, they offer, 2 tacos, 1 side and a drink.
I ordered the Carnitas Taco [pork carnitas, guacamole, pickled red onions, queso fresco] and the Carne Asada Taco [grilled beef steak, caramelized onions, sliced avocado, queso fresco] with a side of Mexican Street Corn. I really enjoyed them!
They also have a very nice bar and offer happy hour, which I definitely want to try.

Cons:
As a true Mexican I need my salsa and limes (no matter what) when I eat tacos. They didn’t have any salsa in the table nor they brought any. I didn’t order either, but that was the only thing I didn’t like.

Last Minute Gift Idea [Steal]

I always struggle with gifts, I never know what to get anyone, specially when it comes to gift exchanges or white elephant. This year, I basically bought all my gifts through Amazon.com. It helped me avoid all the crowds in the stores. While I was browsing a picture of a cooper mug appeared and thought it will be a great gift!

To make it even better I added the recipe as well as the ingredients (except the lime). It was a Moscow Mule Kit. I re-purposed an old shoe box to place them, everything fit perfectly.

This is a great non expensive gift! Plus, you can buy it at any liquor store, I assure it is less packed than the mall. You can also create other kits like Margarita glasses with the mix, Martini, etc.. Whatever drink you think they'll enjoy the most.

You can print the Moscow Mule recipe I created. Save as an image and print!

Winter Whites [Steal]

We all have heard so many times that we are not supposed to wear white after labor day, well who ever said that was wrong! There is only one rule when it comes to fashion: whatever makes you feel comfortable and pretty.

White is one of my favorite colors, so I decided to wear all white during winter, why not? Yes, I am wearing those white jeans I wore during spring and summer. I love this look, although it's tough trying to stay impeccably clean. See outfit details at the end.

Fairview [Eat]

Last week my office was experiencing several malfunctions and we had to evacuate the building. I had a lot of work to do and if i go home my bed gets in the way. Me and a co-worker decided to work the rest of the afternoon at a small local coffee shop right around the corner from our office.

The place is small and cute. They offer pastries and of course coffee.
I ordered the House Baked Griddle Toast Bread with Avocado, local Tomato and infused EVOO.  It was amazing!!!! I also ordered a big Latte. I usually add sugar to everything, but this was perfect the way it was prepared! My coworker ordered the Nutella and banana muffin. She did not give me the chance to try it but she said it was fantastic!

I will come back to try their Vanilla Bean Waffles with Bacon! Yes, that's right Bacon!
I totally recommend this local place!
